Sheila Waters-Fucci, Faculty Member

Sheila Waters Fucci attended Springfield College where she performed with The Frank Hatchett Dancers. She earned her BFA in Dance from the Boston Conservatory of Music and came to Connecticut via Nutmeg Summer Theater then taught for the UConn theater department.

She has performed, choreographed and directed for Community Theaters throughout Massachusetts & Connecticut, including Simsbury Theater Guild, Manchester Musical Players, Little Theater of Manchester, Nutmeg Summer Theater, Salisbury Players, Nth Players, Montage and for many area middle and high schools. Since coming to the Warner Theater in 2004, Sheila has choreographed “The Music Man”, “Cinderella”, “Man of LaMancha”, “Seussical”, “Crazy for You” and the World Premier and First National Tour of “Magic Tree House: the Musical”. Sheila directed and choreographed the March production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” for the Thomaston Opera House as well as the May production of “The Producers” at the Warner Theater. During the summer she will be directing and choreographing the production of “Willy Wonka”.

This past summer Sheila attended performances at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA of Merce Cunningham Dance Company, Rubberbandance Group, Doug Varone and Dancers, Groupe Emil Dubois and A Jazz Happening. Sheila continues to study tap and jazz dance in NYC. This fall she attended classes with Sue Samuels, Krystal Chapman and Germaine Salsberg.

Sheila teaches tap and Broadway jazz for the Warner Theater Center for Arts Education. Sheila has been a faculty member at Deborah’s Dance Workshop in Torrington since 2006 teaching tap, musical theater, jazz , lyrical and Creative Movement. She also teaches tap at Connecticut Dance Theater, Inc. She is happy to serve as a board member of The Warner Stage Company.

On April 10, Sheila was honored for her commitment to St. John’s High School and her 34 year contribution to the Arts at the SJHS Gala.
