Liza has been dancing since the age of eight
and is currently celebrating her 24th year with Deborah’s
Dance Workshop. She has competed in many regional and national dance
competitions and won numerous awards.
She has studied at many schools in New York City and with instructors
John Madeiros, Gene Acquire, Charles Kelley, Sheila Barker, Frank
Hatchett, Bill Hotaling, Jeff Shade, Jermaine Browne, Cathy Roe,
Rennie Harris, Gregg Russell, Chio, Kindra, Steve Sirico, Angela
Bellemare and “So You Think You Can Dance” faculty,
Mia Michaels, Shane Sparks, Wade Robson, Cris Judd, Brian Friedman,
Dave Scott and Tyce Diorio.Liza has attended many dance workshops
throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York City with Dance
Educators of America, The Tremaine Dance Experience, I Love Dance,
The Connecticut Children’s Dance Theater Inc., The School
of Dance Connecticut, Go Hartford, and Go Dance and has also attended
several “For Teachers Only” Jazz Workshops hosted by
The Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
During the summers of 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009, she attended
the Dance Teacher Magazine “For Teachers Only” seminar
is New York City. Classes were offered in Yoga, Ballet, African,
Floor Barre, Hip Hop, Anatomy, Partnering, Ballet, Jazz and Tap.
These seminars focus on all types of dance styles and techniques
with emphasis on proper warm ups and alignment for stronger training.
During the summer of 2007, Liza attended “The Pulse”
intensive held in New York City. Classes were instructed by the
“So You Think You Can Dance” faculty in Hip Hop, Musical
Theater Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet and Tap.
Liza has judged many dance, talent and modeling competitions for
American Miss, Stagestruck, Dance Capers Competitions and the Greater
Miss Litchfield County Pageant.
